I lost pretty much everything a few months ago, and have begun a re-build, what do you think?

WOW you move fast if this is only a few months LOL. Why no sand bed?

Great job that is going to look awsome when it really takes off!

I wanted to blast some flow through the tank, so the bare bottom approach allowed for that. Plus, this way, any detritus that stays in the tank, gathers in one spot, and I just siphon it out.

I'm using 2 Lumen Max Elite reflectors, with a Bluewave 7 ballast. 250w DE bulbs, 20k XM on the left, 20k Icecap on the right. You can find the complete tank info here: http://www.reeftools.com/live/imcosmokramer/

Thanks for the info and link! I've been trying to decide between MH and T5 for my new 90g and can't seem to make up my mind, each one has it's pros and cons.

I've seen amazing tanks with either T5s or MH. I really did miss the shimmer when I went with T5's for the past few months. You can play around with the color more easily with T5's, and you'll proly use less electricity.

Looking pretty nice  , just curious what caused ur tank to crash and how find the full actinic tank look in your tank like and how the corals react to it.

some equipment malfunction caused the crash, but it is corrected now (heater). I don't exactly understand the Actinic question, but I'll answer about my lighting.

I use a 20K XM and a 20K Icecap (250W DE). I'm not worried about par bc the tank is so shallow. I like it. It's way too much light for this tank, but it's what I had.
