that sucks!!! Act quick, get out looking asap, people tend to get comfy after awhile and lose focus on finding a new job!! hit-er-hard!!!

If you're not already late on your bills, you can usually go about 2-3 mths without disconnection or other serious consequences...though, you will probably want to do your absolute best to keep those mortgage payments on time. Utilities, phones, other non-essentials can wait a bit. ;)

Not that anyone should advocate missing payments intentionally but... you're actually better off phoning the bank telling them you are temporarily out of work and see about temporarily lowering your mortgage payment or skipping one altogether.

If you take the initiative they are usually quite reasonable. Utilities tend not to be as patient

Damn sorry about the luck. But there is lots of work out there, summer is a good time for job hunting! What line of work are you in?

Day trade.

When I got laid off a cuple years back I started to day trade...
mostly small to mid cap junior mining and energy plays.

Wound up making about 2500/month until I found another job...
it toook me a year and like 100 applications to finally land a job, I thought it would be SO much easier...
