Anyone happen to see any of this stuff around for sale locally?

I'm not interested in ordering online because the price makes the product's price almost double when you factor in shipping.

ZDo you need the both pH's or just the one soln. I make my own cal soln's

Oh good question. Last time I calibrated my ORP probe it was just a single solution that came in one of those foil bags from Digital Aquatics.

Apex controllers require 2 points to calibrate. I wasn't sure if RKE's do. I think you can get cal soln form JLaquatics. But I was going to suggest Digital Aquatics. I can give a pH7 mixture...but you have to mix it on the spot( eg can't give it to you as a liquid form otherwise it will go bad)

I'm no expert, but I don't think you use pH calibration solution for an ORP probe?

you use the pH soln to dissolve the quinhydrone.

The reading should be between +170 mV and +185 mV above the reading in
the 7 buffer mixture at room temp

I have one package of ORP calibration fluid left, I will ship it for the cost of a postage stamp. It will fit in an envelope.

I wish I'd seen this earlier. UGH! I'll try PMing anyways.

Fencer,

Tell me more about this? I'm very intrigued.

Done!

Apex controllers require 2 points to establish a linear line (slope) over the range of operation. Just like pH calibrations are done. You cannot a proper calibration on one point...only bias the probe to read correctly. So as the reading deviate from the error increases. I think RKE's only use the one point calibration. Not sure if this is the answer you wanted.

Yup, that was exactly it! Thank you.
