So I just finished staining my custom stand and after all the trim is on I'm left with a square in the front roughly 4'x4 it's just stained birch ply for the background was thinking if i had a old steering wheel like off the olden days ships would be kinda cool where would you get one??

Anyone have any ideas for a nice centerpiece??
Will post pics later:) thanks

Sometimes you see reproduction ones in some of the home decor type stores, probably not 4' by 4' though. You could create a ships wheel design out of some plywood or something with a jigsaw. Not the same I know, but...

Reminds me of a (bad) joke: A pirate goes into a bar with a ship's wheel stuck to the front of his pants. The barman says, "I'm sorry to bring this up, but you appear to have a ships wheel stuck to your pants." "Arrrg, I know", replies the pirate, "it's drivin' me nuts!"

Sorry...
