wow nice pics! nice and white! got 2 400w on the way from venkiw for my 55, overkill but who know when prices like this will come along, I can always run 1 for now, and use both when i get a bigger tank.

Jesse,
That's a sweet upgrade

just got one of my 400w hooked up, i cannot believe how the color, its awsome, nice and bright white. Should only need a bit of actinic supp. IMO. If anyone is hisitant, don't be they look great.

Sean would you say they are any bluer than Ushios are?

i have never seen Ushio's in person (atleast that i can remember) but from the pics of the ushio's and these first hand, i would say they are....but they are not blue by any strech, just an AWSOME bright white... like i said might new a few actinics, but not much more.

Yes it's a blue background, I prefer the blue over the black i think it make things seem brighter. Sorry for the delayed reply, And already i have noticed a considerable amount of growth

can you do me a favor and take a pic looking from the side accross you tank with out a flash.. I want to see how the lights look with out a blue background as that will influence the look of the light.
