Do you think this skimmer would be enough for my setup? Tank Size 48X30X20 and my sump is a 42 gallon. And has anyone used this skimmer, if so would love to here some feedback I'm in desperate need of a new skimmer.
Thanks:lol:

Have you looked at any other brands? I see SWC out of Manitoba have some very cool stuff, nicer than Bubble Magus IMO. They have an Extreme Mini S http://saltwaterconnection.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=77 that would be a good fit for your tank. I have never owned one but I have heard a lot of good about them... and they're Canadian.

+1. The BM line is no longer price competitive given the other offerings in the market. The SWC is $120 less and performance should be the same.
Or save some money and get this:

At the risk of starting a debate, the evidence shows that cone skimmers do not outperform non-cone skimmers. So why pay the premium?

I personally love my Bubble Magus BM200P and find the quality and performance outstanding.

Have you personally used this unit? I have not even herd of these, but I really have not looked around at a lot yet, I just know I need a new one bad:smile:

I should add that I think the Bubble Magus is a good line and I think my Bubble Magus NAC6 is a great skimmer. But I bought it directly from China and paid much less then the new Canadian prices. I just have a problem with the new pricing now that a "Canadian" distributor has stepped in. You can get skimmers just as good or better for less money. So definitely comparison shop to see what else is available for you. PM me if you want more details.

Yes, but Ian does not get them through the official Canadian distributor so can offer better prices. I'm not not sure what he has in stock or ETA on new units. You would have to ask him.

I have a BM180CS and my only complaint is having to empty the skimmer cup so often.
Its quiet and pulls lots of smelly crap out.
Cant really comment on price as I have not looked at the current pricing.

LOL, Ummm yes we do and we make our own pricing which is fair for this product line, we have our own distribution line of these skimmers and accessories from Europe (great to have family there). We would be happy to make a deal for you on a BM Skimmer! We are also a SWC dealer and can also hook you up with one of them too!

We have a few in stock and more arriving next week, stock is not a problem.
Cheers!

I've had it since December and it is rated for :
Light Bio-load: 250 Gallons
Medium Bio-load: 225 Gallons
Heavy Bio-load: 200 Gallons
I have it running on my 210. It started out a bit noisy until the Sicce got broke in, now it is very quite. It comes with the mesh wheel modification but I am using only the needle one.
When I bought it, it was $309 with shipping. For some reason it jumped to $459.
