I have some little white rod shaped things growing on my zoanthids. They are about 1mm in length and appear to be affecting their growth.

I was just wondering if anyone has delt with these before and could give me more information on them/treatment.

Also if anyone knows any good links to a walkthrough of how to freshwater dip your coral. I've heard of Lugol's or Iodine Dip, just wondering where to get it.

Thanks

Sounds like nudis, what ever it is you should go buy some coralRX

Freshwater dip is pretty simple.
Use desalinated and dechlorinated water of the same temperature and ph as your tank.
Submerse and shake the colony a few times over a 7 to 10 minute period.
Most fish stores have some type of coral dip.

If those rods are hard and hollow with a redish tint they might be feather duster tubes.
Or if they are pale and soft they may be another type of soft feather duster.

doesn't really sound like nudi's, a pic would help clear it up.

I don't think it is Nudi's either. A picture would definetly help in IDing what it is. Maybe a vermetid snail.

^^ an easy way to get rid of those worms is with a flat head screw driver just crush them then your fish will eat the rest!
