I'm trying to remove the false floor in chamber 1 of my 8gal biocube. Some people tend to smash it down and pull it back up, but i found out that it can be pulled back up just like the false floor in chamber 2. Chamber 2 has some wiggle room to push on a corner and get it to flip up so i can grab it and remove it but chamber 1 is a perfect fit and the only way is to get something in one of the two holes on the floor and pull up...........

so my question is........ can i use a tiny peice of wire? or does even putting metal in the tank for 5 seconds do any harm to the tank? if it does, then any ideas what i can use to hook it?

I have put a coat hanger in my overflows at times to retrieve Koralia magnets and such. I don't see a problem, as long as it isn't left there.

Use the wire I can't see it doing anything in such a short time. Then just attach a ziptie with it's end pointing up so you can grab the tie whenever you need access. I did the same in my Solana.
