Hey Finley
Whats the tank size needed for your Filefish and are they usually reef safe. I know the sailfin needs at least a 125 cause I already have one
Let me know

I've read the Filefish needs around 60g. I've had him in my reef for the past 7 months. They are reef safe with caution, however I've never had any problems. I usually clip something tasty for him and the trigger to pick at in the evenings just to be sure he is full!

FYI, Tasseled Filefish grow to about 12", and need quite a large tank. Bristletail Filefish are much smaller staying about 5", and they would be happy in a 60 or 70 gallon tank. Very similar looking fish, but very different indeed! :)
