I went diving in the Dominican a few weeks ago, thought I'd share some pictures. All the dive sites were located just outside of Bayahibe in La Romana.

I shoot without a strobe so I use a large aperture so please excuse the limited DOF.

It's a bright orange seahorse, sorry the pic sucks because it was in a cave making it impossible to get a side shot. I wanted to reposition the guy but I figured the divemaster might get a little mad, I think it was his best friend.

Very nice! I love those Diploria brains. It's too bad that there's zero access to them for the hobby, they seem plentiful enough like the gorgs but I suppose the restrictions are better off in place and better just to respect them. Gives us an excuse to want to travel to these places and see them in their own habitat I suppose.

Great pictures! Its good to see that the Dominican Republic still has coral. I saw some some pictures that someone else took while snorkeling there and all he had to show was fish, rock and algae. I guess he must have been on a different reef in a more developed area.

Awesome pics ! It's crazy what you do see in the ocean, it makes you sit back & appreciate what is in your tank 100x more. I have pictures from my dive & size comparision is just crazy !

Great photos! Should have just put them in your build thread and said that they came out of your tank. I don't think anyone would have noticed or questioned the validity of it :-) Except maybe someone might question why your wife was scuba diving in your tank.. maybe.
