No way. You got that in a shipment? You should clean it off and see if you can figure out how old it is. Maybe it contains some vintage port or something.

This came in to my LFS in a regular shipment of Fiji rock. The bottle is already open, so no vintage port. Sure gonna look cool in the tank though

Big als in Burnaby had one almost the same as that a few weeks back. It sat there forever. If you didn't take it, then it will probably still be there

I concur. Guess it's kinda like art, millions to some, junk to others.

What do you guys get for deposit out there? I seen one come in before with rope in the rock. Too bad one never gets a piece with gold coins or valuables inside. Do you figure the bottle is old or has value other than looking interesting?

I've seen a bottle very simular. It was a modernish coke bottle, really doesn’t take so long to have growth like that. I doubt if it is old but who knows?

At least it wasn't a finding nemo pool or we'd have to shoot you!

Brad that's wicked that you got that bottle. I wonder how old something like that would be?!

Jack, I imagine something could get that encrusted in a year or two in the ocean. There isn't any date stamp, so who knows. I think it's cool though, and will look good front and centre in the tank.

What about detritus down the neck of the bottle, maybe you should cork it?

Maybe I'll just put a powerhead in the bottle. They put sailboats in there, how tough could a PH be??

you know.. now that I look at it it would be possable to cut the large end of the bottle off. then we could put a powerhead in there and glue the end back on. we would haveto drill a small intake hole in it but otherwise..
