I have been looking at both, and they look very close in comparison. Any recommendations? Experiences with either of them?

I have an Apex....it is very robust. Considering during RKE's v 1.0 had a lot of problems, Apex did not. Neptune has been in the business a long time

I went with the Apex. Very happy with it so far. If you want a good comparison search Apex vs RKE on RC. I noticed JL recently dropped their price on them as well which is another bonus.

Apex here. When I bought mine i based it on their customer support and the fact that the apex already has what the RKE has been promising for over a year.

Ditto,

I did have a problem with the display brightness on my APEX but I had an RMA literaly within min's of sending Neptune an e-mail.

We have adjusted the price of our Neptune Apex to $499.00 due to a couple recent inquiries on price matching, we went a small step further to have the best price available.

O.C.

Do you happen to stock the EB8 for the Apex as well?

I don't think you need a breaKout box as the mod1 or 2 provide ports

I decided to go with the Apex Lite controller, I don't use Tunze's or need an ORP monitor and that's the only difference. I also bought a couple of smart dosers and Koralia Evo's. Before my wife kills me, I just wanted to say thanks Ian for all your help.

I think they only have 1 or 2 ports and your paying for another ph port that you dont really need. With a breakout box you get 6 ports and they are cheap.

I noticed their mod combinations are kinda werid. I would like to see DO and Conductvity in one mod

Actually i was wrong, they will support up to 6 float switches but you still have to buy the breakout box because they all connect through the minidin 8 connector. The breakout box will connect directly to the base module and is about 1/2 the price of the expansion module.

The breakout box is $42.99
