Interesting design. What size tank is it for?

Do you have an ATO? if not that Return area is way too small. all your evap will show in your return, so you'll be topping up fresh water hourly

+1 Fishward you need about 8 gallon min for return. i have a small return in my temp sump while I finish my 40g the ATO goes off about every 1.5 to 2 hrs. To does not bother me as the tank does not over flow and I have not seen any determent to it . but larger is setter. you an make it larger by taking out a couple baffles all that is needed is and over and under you can still have a second over and get a larger return area out f the deal.

move your bubble baffles1 inch apart-move your refugum down and increase your return

reason for the small return is the way the stand is it is very small and that design means the refugium is up front when u open the stand door now i was planing on doing a diy ATO have a 4g jug with ro/di above the return using a ridged airline for a gravity feed design (works like the automatic waterbowls for pets) for the guy that asked its a 10g tank for a 20g nano
now i could move a couple baffles to the return section and use the whole 5 x 9-3/4 area that holds the baffles now as the return.
an answer asap would be great as im leaving in 30 min or so to order glass and get parts for sump

my baffles are after the sump so i don't see any problem there. you could make an L shaped refugium and have your baffles after-giving you a 10x6 1/2 return
