Update: April, 2010: Doing well at 2 years in the tank. Fast growing fish. Tail streamers began to develop at about 1.5 years age.
Current estimated size: 12"

Hard to see in the first photo but did it have blue spots and lines like this?
Is yours actually a Vlamingi?

No. The photo you show is clearly N. vlamingi...not N. unicornis.
