This is a pretty cool trick to heat your tank and cool your lights. It's nice to see that people are going above and beyond the normal DIY and inventing something new!

cool! That's what I need to do, run some water through my metal halides :lol:

Through LED's woould be fine, But ur halides alllready heat the tank up to much. Circulating tank water through them would heat up even more. What you need is a halide water loop with a radiator
