I have used a few pieces, even my EuroReef and Hydor skimmers use them in their design. I think as long as there isn't high pressure in the lines, all is good.

Only thing never to use is the Black piping. My friend who is a plumber says it isn't meant for potable water, so basically water drinkable for humans and fish tanks. something to that effect

Hi,

I've used gray PVC, but not ABS; I don't know of anyone using ABS.

ABS is fine and potable, 100% safe for aquariums if you choose to use it.

Much of your aquarium equipment is made from ABS.

Not potable does not mean not fish tank safe.

The grey PVC is made for conduit but can be used in plumbing as well, I've used it a few times when the regular white pvc wasn't available. It's the same, just different color.

Light Grey is meant for electrical. regular grey comes in both 40 and 80.

Where do you find any pressure in an aquarium?

I'm not sure but apparently there's enough pressure in closed loops to cause PVC pipe to explode from "internal stresses"

Sorry could help myself

Where else would the term "pipe bombs" come from :)
