My Overflow / Sump isn't working properly and I just can't figure out why.

The issue is water flow, my Overflow will suck the water to my sump, then make a loud Gurgle noise. The flow of water goes from super fast in my sump, to trickling slow. This happens every 15 seconds...the noise is very annoying.

Any ideas what would cause this issue and how to fix it?

sounds like there is no way for the air to vent, so it builds up, then releases. Can you post a picture of your durso or just your overflow setup.

Sounds like siphon is established which drains super fast and then air gets in there until siphon is established again. If you have two holes drilled I'd run a herbie style overflow. Gate valve on the lower standpipe valved to match your pump's output. Taller emergency standpipe that can also handle the pump's output should your main drain gt plugged.

are you running a Durso or similar type drain (Hofer, Stockman)?
