ok, so then the ATO turns on, PH go off immediately? then turn back on on their own while the ATO is still on? is that correct?

is there any way at all you could plug the ATO to another outlet and see if the results are the same?

I would say your circuit is loaded to the max you need another plug-in installed that does a home run back to the breaker box. when you ATO kicks in it loads the outlet and draws the operating power below what the PH can operate at. I think you have everything on the same circuit and breaker. your plug-ins behind your tank are not split plugs wired to different breakers. If you turn off that breaker how many individual things turn off this includes on your tank each heater is an item and a wall socket that is also considered an item as some thing can be plugged in to it at any time. I believe that you are only supposed to only have 11 or 13 item working on a circuit this you can look up on this you can look up on the net.also install a GFI plugs for tanks any plug that is within wa ter zone has to have GFI plugs. If some thing happened your insurance maynot cover you.

it is on two different breakers i tried my to split every thing in half until i got my controler then messed around with the cords and plugged the two heaters in the controller so i can control them but it was doing this before all the PH are on the same breaker i will split them up and see what happens thanks Bill

I didn't know you had every thing on a controler, well then it could also be your controlers settings check them out. You may just have to move the ATO plug to a different out let as the controler maybe sensing a draw on that outlet and shutting down the PH outlets. Kind of like a auto feeder program but you don't have auto feeder pluged in it just the ATO. Or just reconfigure the controler.
