Heres something if on kijiji

240 gallon tank comes with about 12 fish (mostly convicts)
Eheim 2260 Canister Filter all can be seen running.
The tank glass alone was over $4000....filter was $600....all lights and everything I have to go with, including 38 gallon complete tank.
Will sell for $1000 and may be pursuaded to set up for the right buyer.
The dimensions for the glass only is 6ft (72") wide X 2.7ft(30") tall X 2ft(24") deep
The total height with glass, stand and light is 5.9ft(69") TALL

Call Travis at 403-803-6523
Will consider trading.....tell me what u have??

wow 4k for a 240.

I'm wondering if this thing's really made of transparent aluminum?

Yeah must be "special" glass, standard glass for that tank runs for $1200 here in Saskatoon which means it should be a few hundred cheaper in Calgary. And that's if you build it, a standard 230 runs for around a $1000 new and can sometimes even include the metal stand.

sounds like the guy overpaid, even the filter seems high. At least he's selling for a more reasonable price.

Yeah I agree I find nothing too unreasonable about the sale. I just found the initial sticker price to be a little outrageous.
