I am looking for a used, affordable, and in good condition 24" T-5 4x24 Watt fixture. If one of you has one collecting dust please reply to my post.

This one is unfortunately on the expensive side considering age and brand. Thanks for the reply though, I might get in touch with the seller and see if we can come to an agreement. Until then, I am open for other offers: Nova Extremes would be nice as well :).

Looks like a good deal to me as the Tek fixture goes for $280 new without bulbs at J&L. If I were looking for a 24" fixture I would snap this up.

Indeed. You won't find much better than that fixture. Tek's are better than nova's. New you would be looking at over $320 with bulbs.

Thanks for the information. I appreciate you all giving me some guidance on the issue. I contacted the seller of the suggested unit. Unfortunately, his inbox is full. We will see if it works out.

I think he also has it listed at BCAquaria so you could try PMing him there if you can't get through here.

Bummer. The fixture was already sold. Still looking...Does any of you have further suggestions on what models of 4x24 Watt 24" T5 I should focus on in my search? My research tells me lamps with individual reflectors are preferable. That would have been the case with the Sunlight Supply Tek, but I am sure there are others, preferably ones that do not require hanging from the ceiling :). Thanks.

Other than maybe going the www.aquatraders.com route, I would say look for a used Aquatic Life or Wavepoint fixture. TEK's are the most common on here so that might still be your best choice.

Thanks, Mark. Those fixtures look very good. I emailed the site and will see what the shipping is.

Or try fishneedit.com too. Their lights are pretty nice.
