I apologize in advance if this seems like a very strange question.

I have a feather duster that appears to defecate quite a large amount on and off during the day. There ends up being small piles of light brown coiled material around the little guy daily. It's actually kind of ridiculous the amount the thing produces, I end up removing the debris 1 - 2 times daily.

I read a post on nano-reef.com and the response was that they imagined "it's all dependent on the amount of phyto present in your water".

Has anyone else ever encountered this with their feather duster? Good/bad?

(I asked a couple of the guys at the local fish store today and they looked at me like I was nuts.)

Just curious
Thanks,
Kelly

I had one that was about 3" tall that left piles half way up the stock daily ....I just sucked it out with a turkey blaster ...till a crab destroyed it

I have also been removing it with a turkey baster.

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a sign that he was dying or was ill, or something along those lines.

Thanks,
Kelly
