Hey!

Just I'm looking to buy an RO/DI unit, a decent quality 5 stage unit with a RO bypass for drinking water.

All of the units I've seen work out to about $275 shipped. A us unit is about $170 + $40 shipping + $50 brokerage (est).

Mops & JL Aquatics both have units but they are about $300 and really don't look that great.

Any body else have suggestions?

Thanks!
Bob

Costco or Trail appliances in kelowna, they have a Kinetico its around 1299.00.

•Certified to remove more contaminants than any other system.
•It's customizable to your home's specific filtration needs.
•It's expandable as your water filtration needs change over time.

Hi Bob,

Have you checked out BWI, a Canreef sponsor, I think Tyler's specialty is water treatment, I'm sure he can help you out.

Oooooh so damn close! I'm countin it anyways. I read new posts by rss on my crackberry, Every post to do with a product lately has a response from BWI hockin their wares, this ones close enough for me hehe.

I purchased my system from BWI last April, before they were a sponsor here. Great unit, fair price.

Really... I wouldn't say BWI is doing anything wrong. As a sponsor and an expert it is very helpful for anyone with RO/DI questions. It would be foolish of them not to respond to every RO thread.

Surprised no one else mentioned this; check eBay also. Some deals to be had there. I bought my unit there (5 stage RODI) and am satisfied with the unit and the price. It was within Canada too so no brokerage/customs to deal with.

Crytone,

Do you remember what seller you bought from?

Thanks

I believe I bought it from a seller named max.supplies
The price was very good (about half of what you found.. shipped to my door) and the unit is decent. It does what I want it to! The only thing is it doesn't have a RO bypass like you stated you wanted, but I don't forsee that being overly hard/expensive to add.

RO bypass for drinking can be easily plumbed with a few T valves and ball valves commonly sold in Home Depot.
