Not likely that he would participate in any shootouts. He may start a game but it won't be a meaningful game. It would be one of the preliminary games against a weak team (usually a Canadian blow out). He won't start unless Brodeur struggles and obviously that is very unlikely.

Personally I would not even start him at all...just start Brodeur and stay with him but we'll see what Yzerman and the gang decide.

Yup, I agree with you. It is Brodeur's position. The only way Luongo will get in is if Brodeur struggles.

That was like one of the Canucks' best first periods of the season. To be up 3-0 in the First & to chance the other goalie out before the second period is awesome, but to do it against the Chicago Blackhawks is priceless.

Going to the Canucks/St. Louis game on Wednesday. Woohoo.

That should be a good game. The Blues always play us tough.

The Albertan teams aren't THAT bad. I think I heard 1 win between them in the past 21 games, could be worse. Sure the Flames have a league leading loosing streak going right now (that's right the Flames do, not the Oilers) but its ONLY 6 in a row and they won 1 game before that.

Maybe the Oilers and Flames are competing for Taylor Hall already? Oilers have a HUGE lead but you never know. The Flames are showing they can loose enough games to maybe catch up.
