just got back from a semester of field school on the Vancouver Island at the Bamfield marine station. frigging amazing, but text is boring. picture time!

For a 3.5 months, this was my playground

Been over that way a couple of times, never dived it though..looks amazing, great pic's, thanks for sharing.:biggrin:

So awesome. I love it out in Bamfield .. if I were to "do it all over" I'd be out there in the field station too. :)

Cool. I too have spent some time in Bamfield. Beautiful area! Is the road to Alberni any better yet? It used to be not much more than a wagon trail. Access by boat was about the only way to get in.

lol the old road is still the same as ever. trecherous at times :) there's was a series of rain storms out there that flooded the road. there were places with pools 5 feet deep!

I loved our field trip to Bamfield back in my UBC days.

Very cool thanks for sharing. I have to look up "grunt sculpin" now because I don't know what that is, other then it looks cute :biggrin:

Thats sweet man. How many dives did you do out there? Back in Biology 12 we did a weekend field trip out there. It was awesome in every way.
