I've figured out why so many guys are into SPS! Versus the women in the hobby, who are seemingly into everything, LPS, SPS, softies, polyps, fish...

It's because they are a phallic reference. It is the fact that with the proper equipment and tinkering you can make them <gasp> grow! It's simply phenomenal! Rather than just one, now you can fill a whole box with them!

I could write my honours thesis on this...

Actually in my humble second-year opinion, Freud is bunk. Most of his theories are highly subjective/patriarchal... but it's fun to talk about most people, if they know anything about psychology, they know about Freud.
