So here is my custom tank, its 48L 30W 24T

So here we go some updated shots, Just got it finally filled 12 mins ago ;) and running! as you can see in the pictures the overflow needs to be adjusted as the waterline is alittle low and i installed the returns slightly higher so there is some splashing NO halides on it yet so its good its adding the airation to the tank as im not running a skimmer!

So here is shot one, Of the tank

here is ashot of the hight of the overflow and the returns! I will get better clearer shots posted on my site so they will be clearer!

Yea its really really nice to have, Not only that but i love fish too. :) so this way im going to have room to be able to have some nice aquascaping as well has still have room for fish to swim, see myself i love tangs, in the past larger tank ( 90G) i had a naso , hippo and 2 yellows with a couple of clowns .. now there was lots of room.. just htey where little wee ones.. But when i got around to thinking... How is a 8-10 inch fish going to turn around in a aquarium that is only 18 inchs wide, by the the time the rock was in there it left what? Maybe 10 inches.. Not much room..

so what im doing with this one, is to have the most of the aquascaping in the center of the tank, Leaving the sides easy to clean and leaving room for my fish to swim some laps :)

So due to issues with money, I have decided to just leave the Normal output fluorescents on the tank for at least 6 months..

Now I have decided to go with a Yellow Angel fish (dwarf) Now I do know that like all fish they are hit and miss with picking at corals and eating what I want! So I have gone with this fish and I have placed a rock in the tank that does have some Zoos on it. So I will be able to see if he is going to be a picker or not..

So again I took some shots. They did not turn out. So when he comes out of hiding in the tank I will snap off a few more.

But its a Yellow Dwarf Angel ( Centropyge heraldi )

So i have attached pics i took..

but this is a link of what the fish does look like :)

IMO I would not go judging an angel on weather or not it's going to give you troubles by simply letting it have it's way or not with some zoo's. Even if it never toucches your zoo's that doesn't mean that it won't have an appetite for other corals you may want to introduce in the future!
Angels and Tangs are true grazers, which means they will pick at or eventually eat anything growing on a reef that they can get a taste for.

cheers, Rich

I think you want to worry more about clams and SPS if I am not mistaken. I have a Centropyge potteri and Escenius bicolor, both of which reportedly nibble. Neither have touched my softies, polyps, LPS or SPS, now we just have to find out whether they have a taste for clams. And of course they may acquire a taste for montiporas later on... knock on wood.

i agree with that,

But again, i added this fish due to cash restraints.. So i think im going to be going with a fish only tank for this tank for a couple of years, i have a 30G tank going right now setup for Corals mostly all frags, so in a couple of years when they start to out grow that tank , then i would like to concider converting my Fish only tank into a reef! .. but then again, BY then i hope to have my house built and my custom tank in the basement.

Looking for a tank there 8 feet long 3 feet wide and 2 feet tall.. :)
