Just realized the ballast I bought (used) at Christmas is PFO and I don't have the cords with male plugs for it

Is there anywhere that still sells the plugs?

How many do you need? I have spares here I can part with, have mogul sockets as well if needed.

I need two. That would be totally awesome if you could spare a couple. I have the sockets already just none of those special plugs. How much do you want for them?

$1,000,000.00
Holds pinky to side of mouth:lol:
Are you comming over for the reef tour next week? I have no idea what they are worth but I am sure we can work out a deal for you.

Bwahahaha, somehow I figured you'd say that

Yep I'm coming over for the meeting next weekend. They go for about $7-$15US on various websites I've checked out (all listed as "item temporarily unavailable") but in light of PFO GFO I would imagine they're worth much more these days to those that need them

Can't you just cut the ends and connect them using good old solder?

I will double check what I have tomorrow but I am sure I have 4 of them in my spare parts box.

The problem is in order to connect them to the ballast you need some funky plug, I don't have that plug and they're not sold anymore since PFO went under or whatever happened to them.

Oh you can't just open the ballast and make direct connections? Well maybe not as safely huh?

YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!

God I can't believe how horrifying it was to find that I had a very heavy paperweight sitting in my basement with no way of connecting it to my lights. I suppose ultimately I could have ripped it apart and made it work somehow but this my first pretty ballast ever and it would have been so sad to tear it apart

Yeah likely I could have made it work ok ok, my dad is an electrician so he could have made it work but it would have been fugly.
