I have started to look into introducing the ZEOvit system into my reef. I have a couple of things that i am not 100% sure on and was hoping someone could help.
Does ZEOvit replace my bio-filtration?
Is skimming required or required at the same intensity?
Thank you in advance for any answers.

new but handy

as far as I can figure zeo feeds your bio filter to make it work better
and you absolutly need to skim

Yup Zeovit helps feed and increase your biological filtration so it works better and harder.

Definatly need to skim.

with the base 4, (start, bak, food, and C.V) these all work to reduce your nutrients to near zero.

I have tried running just the zeo system with no live rock, and only a small sandbed. it worked fine, but with the addition of live rock, the system was much easier to care for.

skimming is a must

cant some of the 4 cause algae blooms?

yes, all of the zeo products can cause out breaks. but this is usually when overdosed. less is more with the zeo system.
