View Full Version : Connecting ro/di to PEX

Need some advice on the most secure way to do this.

Ideally I'd find some sort of metal T fitting for my PEX that has a john guest opening in it. I don't want to use saddle valves or connect to a faucet. I'd love to be able to crimp the fitting into my PEX and use only 1 slip fitting but I'm guessing I'll have to get a slip reducing T?

Any ideas?

This was all I did with mine, I know it's double valved but I did not have a m.i.p. x hose adapter at the time. If you are in no rush I can do it for you next time I am in town. I own all the tools, after all I am a plumber. LMK,
Bob

Thanks for the offer...I'll try and find those parts at HD this weekend. I need to have it filling this weekend or I'll go CRAZY. Also...your sig quote is VILE and pretty darn funny.

Here's what I did today:

Easy as pie. It's a reducing tee with a valve...for humidifiers according to the tag. $10 for the fitting and $10 for the damn crimpers. At least it's done and I have a solid little connection there.
