Well after going flashlighting a few nights ago, I discovered that my already large green frogspawn is now soon going to get much larger
After fragging this piece about a year ago I was left with three single crowns, then about six months back the center crown began to propagate by division.
Now I have 12 more new crowns budding up on the older crown branches
I took this image at night with a flash in order to see the new buds, as during the daytime they are hidden by the mother colony.

cheers, Rich

It's those tiny polyps that amaze me... good shot, thanks for sharing.

My Hammer was doing that when I sold it - like little spokes out from the branches.

Wow I'm impressed. I've not had any luck with mine.

Keep an eye on it Rich, some times those little ones will drop off. Marc had it happen and although none of the buds ever made it you never know.

I had a bud drop off and I smo-... I mean it fell off and made it. It's about the size of a nickel and I have no access to it, so I guess it will stay until I can get it out somehow.

Good luck, it'd be cool to have a polyp bail out survive.

It's been there for about 2 1/2 months and has tripled in size.

Mak: I know I opened a can of worms on that line!
My roomate always say's if he could figure out a way to grow "bud" in his tank as good as algae- then we could retire

Troy: I have had polyp bail out before, but I think these ones will make it, as the bail outs are usually much smaller. These buds are even developing stems as well-I'm keeping my "fins crossed"

cheers, Rich
