As much as I dont want to do it I feel its best for my small (2"-2 1/2")yellow watchman goby to go to a better home. He has lived almost his entire life in my tank, in the overflow....I put him in the display and he ends up in the overflow...and so on and so on $15

weird, I thought it was just mine that did that! I gave up on fishing him out of the overflow and he now lives in the sump and seems quite content there with his peppermint shrimp buddy.

Some guys are just basement dwellers..

why don't you add a screen to the top of the overflow and that might stop him from venturing into it.

My train of thought is there is obviously something that is causing him to always make a break for the overflow....and Im worried it may end up being the floor he finds.

My Twinspot Hogfish is CONSTANTLY getting sucked into the overflow area... would help if I had eggcrate, but I think they are just small enough to get pulled through.

Edit: After posting this, I glanced at my tank to notice that he wasn't out swimming, so decided to check the overflow, and voila there he was, but he doesn't appear to be swimming properly, doing spins and laying down in the corner.... Wondering if he might have lost a side fin... :(
