Today is exactly a week from when my sons Biocube was set up.Getting our first Diatom Blooms. We used high Quality live rock and live sand.Lots of critters coming out of the rocks like brittle stars and hitchiker snails. We have nothing in the tank and are not running a skimmer yet.See pics from last friday to this fri.My son is dreaming about putting a golden moray in this when finished.

Looking good so far.....however a 29g biocube is probably not the best environment for a Golden moray as they reach two feet in length and I seriously doubt the biocube skimmer would be able to keep up with the large messes. This is a good read http://www.morayeel.info/golden-moray-eel.php

I think it is a dwarf Moray he wants and a Lionfish good grief LOL. But I have lots of time to change his mind he is excited this being his first salt water tank! I bought a Biocube skimmer and have not opened it yet..still looking at options around that.

a dwarf golden moray would be cool in my opinion. or if he wants a lion you could get a dwarf fuzzy.
also, a frogfish would be another option of a predator.
the only constructive criticism is if he wants to go in the predator path, you may want to upgrade the skimmer eventually to something like the saphire aquatics skimmer for biocubes
