Non-photosynthetic purple gorgonian, $35. Been feeding a mix of phyto, phytomax, seafan food & reefroids every couple of days or so.

What are the requirements of this coral? Does it need lots of light? What do you mean by non-photosynthetic?
Thanks
Kal

It needs to be fed food like a sun coral.

Non-photosynthetic means this coral is happier in a shady place and does not require lighting to produce energy (so you don't need a MH bulb, etc.). This also means it requires feeding regularly. It eats fine particulate matter such as that found in the ultra-lith seafan food. The drawback is you can't just leave it alone and expect it to grow because it absolutely needs to be fed.

I have had a few people pm me about the gorg. Just to make things clear I still consider it available until it is picked up (I have not had good luck with people showing up when they said they would in the past).

Also, it is missing one branch as of today because I decided to keep a frag, it's just too pretty not to ;)
