How do you like it? Have you used other t5 fixtures before? Seems like a nice little unit

I am quite new to reefing but can say my corals seem to like it:) I have it as an "extra" tank in case I need to isolate something and also have a frag rack. The frags seem happy. I run it as a basic sytem with a hang on skimmer, 2 power heads, a heater and an ATO system.

I have a 4x 24w New wave and love it. The only thing I dont like is that it doesnt come in a 6 bulb unit.

What would that accomplish? Still wouldnt get a 6 bulb unit.

I've heard good things about the fishneedit lights and was even going to get one myself. I contacted them at the beginning of August about when their 4 bulb fixtures would be available and they said at the end of August but so far they still don't have them so I went with a new Nova Extreme model with the individual reflectors instead.

They have the 4 bulb T5 HO "fishneedit" fixtures in or the New Wave fixtures? According to the fishneedit website they don't even have the new models yet. Marineaquaria does have a New Wave fixture over top of their sump though if you wanted to see one in action. Awhile back I emailed JL Aquatics about the New Waves and they said that they were good lights but the reflectors weren't as good as the Tek models and the unit is made of tin (which can rust) vs aluminum on the Tek model. So as long as it's high enough above the tank to avoid spray or there is a cover it should be a decent light for you.
