I saw this guy after lights out. I've never seen one like him before. The shell style/look is familiar but he has this weird outer "skin" that he can cover his shell with. He'll retract the skin if touched but otherwise has his shell covered with it.

this snail is 'cypraea annulus' and i've a few of them and they eat aglae

its kind of like a mini cowrie
ive got a tiger cowrie and it wraps its outer layer around itself

i have crabs

definitely a cowrie, some cowries arent reef safe so make sure you have a positive ID.

Thanks guys, he'll go in my nano tank. Lots of algae in there for him and no corals to worry about.
