Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know of someone who has gotten a Cadlights tank set up imported from the US? I am interested in experience with shipping costs, delivery time, and arrival condition etc. I am looking into potentially getting the 39 G professional series.

thanks!

Palmer

Oscar here on Canreef got the Cadlights Signature.

Here's his build thread. http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=39808

Thanks for the info. I know that getting into SW if not for the faint of heart (and I keep reminding myself of this) but I have a low tolerance for these kinds of logistical issues (I have this urge just to get a RSM from the LFS to avoid the hassel.) But I may just have to suck it up and deal with it since I like what Cadlights has to offer.

Thanks,

Palmer

:surprise: Thats surprising to hear. I tried to get one shipped in Canada. The dealer I was talking with said he cant but perhaps direct from his supplier. That was a no also. Said its to costly and they dont ship well.

May I asked how much for shipping from Cadlights or did you purchase from a dealer?

Thanks

Thats was only the Canadian dealer I talked with, not Cadlights themselves. I may try there next then.

I ordered the 39G Signature series in February of 2008 directly from CadLights. That was the first delivery of the new system. By time I dealt with the shipping, broken stand, missing or broken parts it was April by time I installed.

I attribute a lot of the above to the new system but a lot of the issue was poor QA in what was going out.

I would say just be patient, it is traveling a long way. At the end of the day it all worked out.
