Well I saw this guy swimming about in my sump and have no idea what it is, anybody out there know?

Theres a short video attached as well showing how well of a swimmer the worm is.

Damn thing is fast! Looks like motility is the cilia hairs along the body, crazy.

I would still keep an eye on him.:lol:. I found a similar worm eating our toadstool in the refuge. Better safe than sorry. Right.

a swimmer you say? sounds like an epitoke. Many annelids undergo a partial or whole tranformation yielding an epitoke which is basically a swimming reproductive organism. it swims up the water column so currents can disperse sperm farther. not uncommon in hobby aquaria

edit: cool video. I've read about them but I've never actually seen what good swimmers they are until now. thanks.

Oh, there good swimmers in the video there was just a little bit of water in the dish, but yeah the worm/epitoke has been removed.. :)
