Does this seem ok in the pictures
i purchased this metal stand and the tank sit;s inside the supporting legs?
Is this normal.Only held up by the welds///
im thinking of placing a sheet of ply on top to disperse the weight to the legs?
stand seems a little flimsy to hold a 1000 pounds:neutral:
thanks for the input

Yes it does look too flimsy. As you see the steel is not holding up your tank it is the welds. It has no cross bracing so a hit from one side could cause the weakened metal around the welds to break.
Now you could brace the steel with wood !!

That stand will not hold. Looks like tubing made from sheetmetal? Even bracing with wood, you will find that it's probibally better to just make a wooden stand from scratch than to try brace that one.

I wouldn't trust that stand either. If it were me I would build it out of wood as well. I don't think theres anyway that weld on its own would hold the weight of the tank.

Agreed, as stated, needs cross bracing, Horizontal member should have been on top of legs. I would not trust it either
