Welcome Elvis,

Now what were you looking for? Size? Small med or large?
The more info you provide the better we can help.
Myself I have a few extra tanks... 10, 33, 55 & 75.
Take you pick and we can always give you a hand.

I'm a newbie to the fish world any help in deciding the tank size and what set up needed would be appreciated. Thank you for your replies, can you direct me as to what is needed to start a salt water tank?

Glass, stand, good lighting if you want corals, good skimmer (euro reef, bubble king, tunze, vertex, IMO, but you could check with Asmodeus he has a little experience with skimmers ), a sump is optimal, and $$$.

the best place to understand a SW setup is to go to another hobbyists house and see an actual setup. From there ask questions and make sure to bring over a case of beer for the long conversation that will take place.

Welcome to the site.

I think the best thing would be for you to decide what you want in the tank. From there people could help you narrow down your choices.

It is kind of like saying ... "Could someone tell me what car to get?"

It is a little vague. Do you want an SUV? a smart car? an 18 wheeled rig?

The people on this site are very helpful so once you decide what you want to keep in your tank then people would be more than willing to help.

If you have an extra 12k laying around this would be a sweet set up... But you better have about 10 strong friends and suction cups to get it to your house

Not to mention a hell of a lot of buckets and/or tubs!
