Edit: Due to help from several members I have found it is within the realm of reality to attempt mixing species and therefore keeping this seahorse. If I can do it, that would be great as I have grown rather fond of her

Due to a decision to switch to a different breed of seahorse in my tank I need to sell this little gal. She was bought as CB and eats frozen mysis. Asking $69.

Hunting.

And a couple of her snicking food.

Awww, you're selling her? What type are you wanting to get now?

The plan is to get erectus or barbouri. The main reason being is the fry of the erectus would be easier to raise (assuming I can raise them at all), the barbouri on the other hand leave options open for more types of corals to be stocked in the tank. I jumped the gun getting a kuda :(. She needs to be with some kuda buddies and the only place I know of that sells kuda is Big Als and I have not heard good things. This gal was purchased from Golds. I don't know if there are any more left. If there are can someone please pm me? I would consider getting her a buddy instead of selling her, I just don't want to risk Big Al's due to possible parasites etc. I expected them to be more widely available when I purchased her and was sadly wrong. I don't want this cutie to pay for my mistake.

Just to let you know I kept Narrow bellied with Kuda's and another kind but can't think
of it at the moment. The size difference was great, but all did well together if that is your concern.

I am concerned about mixing yes. On the seahorse forum they heavily advise against it. I just don't want them to die because I mixed them. Do you really think I could get away with having kudas and erectus? Would there be male/female issues with her being so small? Would she get lonely?

Hmm..this is turning into a thread, lol.

No I really don't think it would be a problem, and no I don't think she would get lonely.
But if you have your heart set on only one type then yes you need to make a decision.
But if you are already set up and can take good care of her, who knows what kind of home she may end up in.

I will make a post on the seahorse forum and see what they say. If I do find a really good home for her I will still sell her, but I do not wish to sell her to someone who doesn't have an appropriate system as the whole idea is to keep her alive. Thanks for your help Leah.

I have a mixed breed seahorse setup as well. I have H. Angustus, H. Comes and one H. Kuda hybrid. I haven't had any problems but I know on 'the org' they are very hesitant about it... But they are hesitant about a lot of things... :)
