hi there every one
so i was given a free 65 gal tank with a over flow it came with a 20 gal sump and pump
so i have started to put it all together but now i have decided to go whith a 40 gal sump

i am wondering if any one has any pics of how there sump is set up

here is a list of what i will be using in this tank
qo 4000 pump
vertex 100 skimmer
36" current nova t5 HO
2x koralia power heads
thats it so far
here is a pic of what i got done for now got a good start on the stand

got the stand done now it just got to paint it should take no time since that is what i do for a living !:lol:

just have to add some rock now that has been curing in a rubbermade for 2 months now

nice looking stand buds, how much space do you have on the side, inreference to the tank. what size will the stand hold if you go bigger. 90 gal

snowflake got out today found him on the floor by my stand thought my screan top was tight but there was a mall hole by the return pipe !
he was out for aproxx 4 hr threw him back in he is still alive so far !!!!!!!!
time will tell i guess

i really like eels i and i new this was bound to happen some day if he dont make i will be geting another one got to find a way to make that lid tighter

any one have any ideas lol

well if its only a FOwlr you can try the black screen that gores on screen doors. 1 ply of that he wont get through. but it will dull your lights a little bit not much thou. I use the black screen when im adding new bulbs i add around 3 plys and leave them on for 3day at a time then take one off .....

but ya off topic again :redface: that will and should work.

Nice eels. :biggrin:

I have a 65 with 3 eels in it, I just have the standard 'all glass' lid (I think). It has the plastic pieces towards the back and I just cut a couple small notches for my powerhead cords. I have all but one cord running along the top of the tank and exiting above my overflow so I can have a bigger hole and don't have to worry about jumping eels.
