Hi guys!!

I need to take apart the loc-line tubing on my sump return, so that I can change the nozzle.

How do you do it easily???????? I pretty much need to seperate the first two links from the the rest of the chain. I've been trying to force them the other way, but they refuse to budge. Any advice or tips????

They make a tool to separate the pieces, but lacking that, immerse in very hot water and that should make the plastic more pliable.

the problem with that is that the loc line tubing is in my aquarium. Also, in vancouver, only JL carries that tool, and only in the 1/2" size, not the 3/4" size. Dang.....

Any ideas?

The end of the loc line is screwed into a pipe. Could you take it apart there? Might have to lower the level of water a bit.
Maybe someone has a tool you could borrow

Cant, because the assembly cant be rotated 360 degrees. Someone probably does have the tool, but I would like to have one on hand, if i was ever to put it back together.

Still looking for solutions. Any ideas?

I assembled mine by hand and also took it apart by hand. just bend the coil back on itself and it'll come free.

You could have had one ordered from Marine depot by now.

i emailed them yesterday, and marine depot said they were garbage for taking loc line apart. Also, a fellow canreefer also enlightened me to their usefulness. Hehe.....
