Any R/C boat racers?

I just joined the Calgary racing club that runs at Elliston Park on Sundays.
It's a great spot, they are all running nitro so we need a couple more boats out to run a heat with electrics. These things are insanely fast. The Aquacraft UL-1 is close to 50mph stock from the box.

I'm waiting to try my hand at nitro boats with a VS1 and an OS .21 outboard that's on it's way. It's a stock class with no motor mods.

Nice. Never got into boats, but have a few car's/monster trucks here. I used to seriously race. Now, theres no track or anyhting where I live, I should just sell the $6000+ worth of outdated equip I have LOL

Yeah I know what you mean, I used to race RC10T's back in the 90's and I can't bring myself to part with them.
It got pretty crazy (and expensive) trying to keep up with fully sponsored factory drivers.
Maybe raced with you in Vancouver at the 94 ROAR's?:biggrin:

No, I wasnt racing in 94, started -00 till 05. I was in Kamloops then. Went to Kelowna alot. I was/am into Nitro. But had some 1/10th Pan cars for winter running. I have left, my fully cusomized HPI Savage, GS Storm Pro 1/8th buggy, RC-10GT, and a Losi Mini T.
