My tank is 35gallon and too many LPS coral -acan,favia,blasto, scoly...; mainly LPS. I try to avoid as much feeding as possible since the tank is quite small. I am wondering if they need to be fed at all????
Thanks

What I really meant is that do they need to be fed to survive.

They can survive off light alone, but I noticed that mine are much more open and colourful if I feed. I only feed about once every two weeks, once a week at the most.

I would target feed them once in a while, small pieces of silverside, shrimp, krill ….
You don’t have to feed them all at once, just one coral at the time.

Thanks for your response. I will try to feed them once a while.
I run my T5 light RSM for 8hrs/day. Is this sufficient for my LPS?

Hi
Do you have the max 130 or 250?
It is really depending on the coral type and where it is located.
Generally most LPS will do fine with 8 hours.

This is good to know... I was actually curious about the same question though I have yet to purchase any corals.

Hi Navarchus,
I have a 130 RSM. The favia and the blasto are at the bottom while the others are very close to the top.
From what I heard, 130 T5 lights are not very good. What do you recommend?
