Well I've had this tank going since Feb '08 and haven't really posted many pics, so maybe this is better late than never. I started into the SPS back with Snappy's Christmas sale and haven't looked back, slowly turning my tank into less softies and more SPS. Here's a few tank and coral shots. Almost all my SPS are frags, as it's much cheaper this way!

Here's my red margined fairy wrasse from Red Coral. Can't for the life of me get a clear shot. He won't ever stay still for me.

That aquascaping is killer Scott,The red margin looks great in there....so does the trigger (always wanted one) How does he behave for you?

Argentiner
09-29-2009, 09:43 PM
The trigger is the biggest chicken by far in the tank. If he suspects something is going on, he bolts into his little cave. He is a true gentleman though...never pushes anyone around, even during feeding. Doesn't pick up and move anything or eat any inverts. He's a really cool fish. Thanks for the compliments!

A year and 5 months since starting vodka. Since getting a calcium reactor, I've bee getting brown wafer algae. Have also increased my bioload which wouldn't help any. Am researching into microbacter7 and might start soon. Especially if someone in town carries this. There's a lot of info on RC with this, some threads almost too long. lol.

Here's a shot of my "female" squarespot slowly turning into a male.

Thanks guys! I have to admit though, a couple of those like the panoramic were from Richard, who came over about a month ago in the middle of the bad weather to take some pics. Super cool guy. He put a post a while ago wanting to take pics of peoples tanks, so I would recommend anyone wanting to learn a bit about photography to have him over.

Here's a couple more of my newest members.
dwarf golden moray having a lazy day with a big yawn. Thanks for all your input on keeping these guys Tony. They're lots of entertainment. For sure what everyone's interested in when they come over. Tanks pretty stocked up now....

Any updated fts?

One more thing, You have what looks to be purple lokani and another green with pink base lokani where did you aquire those?

Argentiner
04-02-2010, 05:54 PM
Thanks guys! I took those with a panasonic lumix DMC TS1. I got the purple lokani from Red Coral I think,l and the other from a fellow canreefer. Can't remember his name, and I didn't save it in my PM's. I'll try and get a full tank shot.

Wow....it has grown a bit hasnt it?.....how long ago was that?....Montis, for me anyway, really seem to take a while to settle in, but once they do settle down they really take off....you'll probably be cursing it soon, it looks like there's some pretty nice stuff around it that will likely get shaded out....:twised:

Looked it up, and it was last Aug! You're right, it took a while to encrust and then it starts growing branches up a lot faster. It's a neat colour as it has a deep orange with pink tips on it.

Few new shots of some of my SPS taken top down with a point and shoot underwater camera. I've stopped dosing zeo for the last month and a half except the potassium and haven't noticed any big changes. Still dosing vodka and MB7 daily with a doser though. I think I've lost a bit of purple and green, but will be saving a lot of money. Previously I was dosing coral vitalizer, sponge power, and amino acid but half the recommended dosage and only about twice a week.

thanks guys! Can stop by any time Carmen. Haven't bought anything new as far as corals or fish in a long time, but the corals I have will be a bit bigger than the last time you were over. Might have to sell another colony or 2 soon as things are really starting to grow into each other and I get sick of always making frags. I still haven't ever seen your tank. OR your tank, Mike.
