Well, I made myself some pasta this eve and as usual, threw some garlic salt on... that's probably the last time I try to use garlic as a feature flavour in a dish. After feeding it with mysis and such to my tank, I've come to associate the smell with salt water and such, which isn't all that appetizing. Has anyone else had this problem? I wonder if it applies to sushi (thanks to nori).

No. Even though I use garlic in the tank, I still love it and always will!! Maybe you need to eat a lot more to get over the aversion....

I think your just weird Quinn!

The nori sometimes does it for me when we go for sushi. Just in the california rolls or cones but I tend not to eat too much of those anyway.

I use a drop of Kent's Garlic Xtreme, very strong odor indeed!, when soaking PE mysis in Selcon and Zoe for my seahorses.

I wouldn't use garlic salt for feeding fish, though. There may be additives in the salt that aren't suitable for fish.

I am using pure garlic extract which I got at Nutter's (health food store). I just put some into a cup with my food and hope it mixes. I've read that it works topically anyways so as long as it's in the water, I think it does some good. All I know is that my tang doesn't appear to have any ich anymore.
