We bought an RO system to put under the sink and it has a faucet that goes in the sink. Well I never installed it then we moved and our new house has granite counter tops and I can't put it in the sink. Any way I thought perfect opportunity to use it for my tanks:mrgreen:. Now I put it in the basement and I'm questioning how I installed it, The original kit uses the faucet and a pressure tank that I'm not using. After I hooked it up as I figured I should the water is just pouring out of the good water and very little out of the waste water. I always thought it was the opposite or is that just with RO/DI systems?

You should get about ( units vary) a ratio of about 1:4 or if you are lucky, 1:3
one gallon of ro water to 4 gals of waste.
You must have reversed one of the hoses. Here is a link to a schematic of the plumbing, it has solenoids in it that you could ignore, just follow the plumbing.

If your getting a little bit out one pipe, and alot out another, the one that has little flow is the RO, the one that has alot, is waste

I have the drain line coming from the line with the flow restrictor on it, so that has to be the drain right?

Yes, drain has the restrictor. BUT, if they are plumbed backwards to the Membrane canister, it wont be right

They were plumbed from the factory to the restrictor.
