Almost looks the flesh is being blown off but this is where it's been since a small frag for the last year. Was looking fine 2 weeks ago. All other corals normal except for 1 type of Xenia that's started to recede.

It happened to two of my colonies...just started STNing. It finally did stop after taking 90% of the colony. Yet my other SPS are not affected and there are no changes to my tank conditions. There is another thread reporting that this is happening to them and it is a yearly spring event.

Will they come back? I was given an SPS on Friday and it has started doing the same thing...

Stylo...pocci...whichever it is, I would be impressed if you are able to save any of it.

Well last couple of days no change other than algae is taking hold on the skeleton.

What's strange is the frag Fox mentions was taken of this more than a month ago and has been sitting in the basement sump. Same water obviously but different light and flow.

Hahaha Sorry Mark, I didnt realize you had made the original post. That explains why that SPS looks like the frag you gave me...

FWIW both stylos and poccis are pickier than most sps on flow. It does look blasted though...I only know this because of a recent vortech vs Milli incident:redface: Guess who won?
