I am considering starting a reef aquarium and would like to spend a considerable amount of time doing research.

If anyone has some reasonably priced books that they would be willing to part with, please contact me via PM with asking price.

Not wanting to sell, but The Concientious Marine Aquariust by Robert Fenner is a Great book.

Check out the search function on this site as there is a ton of "free" info here.
Another good way to start is your local library. That way you can get a good idea of whats involved and more importantly, what your budget can handle. Start up costs are the big hits but maintenance can be pricey as well.
And don't get sucked in by a local LFS that bigger is better. Some members on this site have incredible Nano systems. You just have to take it slow and do your homework.

+1 for local library if you're looking to save money. Or try borrowing books from other reefers in your area. I offer my collection for loan to people in Prince George, sorry I dont ship.

Online magazines are also an excellent source for credible information. I dont mean to bash these forums but sometimes there are more opinions than facts flying around.
