I bought this wrasse from Gold's Aquarium two weeks ago.
Dennis at Gold told me this is a kind of cleaner wrasse.
I've been searching the web for info. but I can't find anything or even pictures
about this wrasse.
This fish is always looking for food(parasites or whatever on the corals).
It does not take normal food. It seemed like its doing ok coz its poohing
everyday.
The only problem is it is disturbing my frogspawn and hammer coral which I am
not too happy about.
I took two photos of him/her but the quality is not the best because the fish is moving too fast.

Its about 2.5 to 3 inches long with a dark blue body and top fin is yellow and also some horizontal yellow strips near the head.

Its $10 if anyone is interested. Sold
please PM.

looks like a line wrasse, and if i did learn to count from your photo a six line wrasse.
so basically he will clean bugs off your corals, but not your fish.
Hope u didn't pay too much for him, they go for near 30$ in the city.
A great fish and he will for sure keep your tank clean from coepeods and bristle worms.
they have been known to clean ich but that a per fish thing, if your dont he wont, and if he does he will.
u just dont know till it happens.

Doesn't look like a six line to me. It was sold to him as a type of cleaner wrasse and probably is as Dennis usually knows his stuff.

Don't have a clue what kind of cleaner wrasse it is.
I've been searching so hard on internet but found no match results...!!!
Can't even find one photo of it on internet...
Its a cool fish but I just cannot stand it when its disturbing my frogsprawn.
Its definitely not a Sixline.

None of the Labroides cleaner wrasses have as many stripes as yours, I'm intrigued but I don't know that its a cleaner wrasse...

I agreed but except at RC as far as I know. Everytime trying to stock some more from his store, he keep asking me about my system, what I have so to see if it ok take what I want home  with a basic "education" about the new member that I want to buy

Yes I saw one just like yours at pro reef. It was a red sea cleaner and had just as many lines.
$10 is a steal they wanted over $100 for one.

I don't know what it is, but it doesn't look like a red sea cleaner wrasse (Larabicus quadrilineatus) juvenile or adult.

edit: if you really want to know what this thing is, post the pics up on the reef fish forum on RC. Some of the big wrasse fanatics hang out there. a clearer pic would help too.

I had to remove half the live rocks from the tank in order to catch him.
I think I need to be very sure what I am putting into my tank the next time.
Its pain in the butt to catch a fish when there are so much rocks and corals
in the tank...

It might be a juvenille Hawaiian hogfish?
